Ray and his husband, Chris, moved to Smyrna from Jacksonville, Florida.  Having left Jacksonville after 24 years, Ray found Smyrna to be a warm and friendly, welcoming new community. 

Ray has worked for American Express for 37 years.  He and his husband are avid global travelers, always seeking out new adventures and the diversity of new cultures.  As a foodie, he is also an accomplished home cook, and you’ll find Ray and Chris out most weekends exploring new restaurants throughout the Metro area.

Ray embraces the Smryna community and volunteers with several Smyrna organizations, including Keep Smyrna Beautiful.  Both Ray and Chris have attended Smyrna is Fabulous functions, since it’s inception.  Ray has been a staunch supporter, and has actively volunteered in many SIF events, including multiple SIF’s hosted Pride events
